Ingredients
  

  • 4 sheets puff pastry
  • 1/4 cup butter softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

  • Thaw the puff pastry according to the box instructions.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cut each puff pastry sheet into an equal sized circle. I like to use a plate as my cutting guide.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Place one puff pastry circle onto the parchment lined baking sheet. Brush it liberally with softened butter, and then sprinkle on the brown sugar cinnamon mixture.
  • Place a second puff pastry circle on top and repeat the butter and brown sugar mixture. Repeat with the remaining 2 puff pastry circles.
  • Place a star cookie cutter in the middle of the circles and press down. Cut 16 equal sized strips surrounding the star.
  • Twist each strip and pinch two of the twisted strips together at the ends until all are twisted and pinched.
  • Brush with egg wash.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until golden.
  • Allow to cool and then dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
