Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract or vanilla bean paste
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate
  • 1/2 Terry's chocolate orange chopped roughly (save the other half for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and prepare a sizable baking sheet by covering it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the dry ingredients in a medium bowl and set them aside.
  3. In a larger mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugars until they form a paste-like texture.
  4. Incorporate the egg and vanilla until the mixture is smooth.
  5. Gently fold in the dry ingredients, chocolate chips, and chopped Terry's orange chocolate using a spatula until fully integrated—take care not to over-blend.
  6. Scoop out 3 tbsp size balls of dough onto your cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Once out of the oven, add extra Terry's chocolate orange slices on top.
  9. Allow to cool on a wire rack and serve!
