Ingredients
  

  • 4 mini brie bites
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp water

Method
 

  1. Follow the puff pastry instructions for thawing.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  3. On a parchment paper lined baking sheet, add the honey in 1 tbsp dollops evening spread out over the parchment paper.
  4. Cut off the rind on one side of the mini brie and place the exposed side down on top of the honey.
  5. Cut the puff pasty into 4 equal sized circles. Make sure the circles are larger than the mini brie.
  6. Place the puff pastry over the brie hugging it around the edges.
  7. Use a fork to press down the edges of the puff pastry around the brie.
  8. Beat the egg with the water and brush the egg wash over the puff pastry.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Top the baked brie with the sugar.
  11. Carefully blow torch the sugar until brûléed and caramelized.
  12. Drizzle with extra honey if desired.
