Blackberry Brie Bites are the perfect holiday appetizer! They are bright, sweet, and savory from the brie.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 18 minutes
Servings: 5
Course: Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 8 mini brie bites
  • 8 blackberries
  • 1 tsp honey per brie bite (plus more for garnishing)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp water
  • rosemary optional garnish

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°.
  2. Follow the puff pastry directions for defrosting.
  3. Cut your puff pastry into little squares (larger than the brie bite circumference). There should be about 1/4" puff pastry bordering the brie once the brie is placed in the center of the square.
  4. Score the top of each mini brie round making an "x" on top. This will allow the brie to get extra melty while baking. Place each brie round on a pastry square.
  5. Add 1 blackberry to the center of each brie round on top of the puff pastry.
  6. Roughy crimp the edges of the puff pastry surrounding the brie. The pastry square will now be a circle.
  7. Beat your egg with water.
  8. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the egg wash.
  9. Drizzle each brie pastry bite with 1 tsp honey.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until pastry is golden brown.
  11. Drizzle some additional honey on top of the baked brie bites and garnish with rosemary if desired.
