2 Ingredient Air Fried Bagels

Fresh bagels with cream cheese are one of, if not my favorite easy, on-the-go breakfast. These super easy, 2 ingredients, air-fried bagels are almost identical to the real thing and can be ready in 20 minutes! All you’re going to need is self-rising flour and greek yogurt (and your favorite toppings of course) and voila – you’ll be having bagels in no time!

Another huge advantage of this recipe is the amount of protein. I like to call these my protein bagels because of the greek yogurt included – 1 cup of Greek Yogurt has about 20 grams of protein, much higher than a regular bagel! After my workouts at Orange Theory, I like to whip up a batch of these air-fried bagels and drink a protein shake!

When I was teaching full time, I would make these bagels, add a fried egg and add some turkey bacon. It was a perfect on-the-go meal for when I was rushing to school. These days, I have a little more time to enjoy them at home!

Note

If you don’t have self-rising flour, you can make your own at home with a few simple ingredients! For each cup of flour, add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Self-Rising Flour
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt
  • 1 Egg
  • Additional Toppings I did Everything but the Bagel seasoning, salt, and parmesan on 2 separate bagels!

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, add self rising flour and Greek yogurt, stirring to combine until a dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead using your hands until a ball forms. Be careful not to over knead or your bagels may come out tough. 
  • Separate the dough into fourths. 
  • Roll each fourth into a ball, flatten it, and cut a small hole in the center.
  • Lightly beat your egg in a small bowl and brush the egg over the tops of the bagels. 
  • Add your toppings of choice on top of your bagels before transferring to the air fryer. I did an everything bagel, a parmesan bagel, and a a salt bagel!
  • Air fry at 390 for 8-10 minutes. Allow the bagels to cool before adding cream cheese or butter. Enjoy!

  1. I’m genuinely confused why you’re naming this “2 ingredient” bagel when they’re are at **least** 3 listed lol. Still a great and easy recipe even if there are 3-5 ingredients!

    • Egg wash is just to make the tops pretty/whatever toppings stick. If you omit and make just a plain bagel they are just 2 ingredients. : )

  4. This is the Weight Watcher recipe! If you want less calories use 0% fat Greek yogurt, I actually think they turn out better with the 0 fat yogurt, I use Fage, otherwise the texture is a bit mushy the 0 fat yogurt tastes more like a regular bagel

  5. I watched the video on Instagram. You three a teaspoon of salt and a teaspoon of baking powder in, we well, but didn’t list them in the ingredients. Way to set people up for failure.

  7. Omg…she clearly wrote that if you DON’T have self rising flour you can add salt and bp. So self rising flour and Greek yogurt. Two ingredients for plain bagels. The egg wash is if you want to make everything or parmesan or asiago or whatever kind… because the egg wash helps the toppings stick. Stop being so negative!

    People just don’t know how to cook/bake lol it’s 2 ingredients egg is not needed. Use self rising flour if you don’t have you need to add salt and bp to regular flour. Come on man!!! Unreal. It’s works great btw thank you.
